Giza Plains

The nomad village is directly to the south of the entrance to the area. Definitely go there first (while fighting your way through the first area for lots of LP). In the village, near the save point, you'll find the town's merchant who sells sundries and accessories. Now find the old woman in front of the large center tent. She tells you about making sunstones and then tells you to speak to Masyua who's in front of the dark crystal. She explains that Jinn, the kid in charge of making Sunstones for the day was missing and he had all the village's Shadestones. Your reward for finding Jinn will be the Sunstone needed.

Next Panelo shows up and joins your party. Then talk with the nearby kid, Camina. She directs you to find Jinn in the Crystal Glade next to a dark crystal. When you're leaving Panelo gives you Potion X3, Phoenix Down X2. As a final hurrah Gambits are added to the Battle Menu. However, you can't do much with them right now.

The crystal glade is located to the right, down, and left of the village. It's a good idea to explore right now and level and gain LP. Some of the enemies are tough but only the menacing Werewolves are out of your league - like the Wild Saurian you should leave these beasts alone. Remember though, that the Werewolves are hostile from the start, unlike the Wild Saurian.

Warning: Here's another trick with the treausure chests. Later in the game you will be able to get a Diamond Armlet which increases the quality of stuff you get from boxes. Certain boxes on the field do not replenish. One such box on the bridge right before the exit to the Estersand has the possibility of giving you 50,000 gil if opened with the Diamond Armlet. So, leave this box alone until you have the nifty accessory.

Near the save crystal in the Crystal Glade you'll find an injured boy named Jinn. After talking to him he gives you a Shadestone and teaches you how to charge it to create a Sunstone. Follow his instructions until you have a fully charged Sunstone.

Once your stone is charged you'll end up back in the village where you're rewarded with 50 gil, 2 Potions, and 2 Teleport Stones. You also get the necessary sunstone. Now it's time to return to Old Dalan in Lowtown.
