Scene: Chapter 3

Location: Calm Lands

ITEMS: Sprint Shoes, 3 Ether, 3 Mega-Phoenix, White Ring, Blue Ring, Lightning Gleam, Wall ring, 2 Hi-Potion, Star Bracer

Dear Diary,

When we got to the Calm Lands we discovered that the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth was having a fiend problem too. Not only did we have to clear out the place but we had to rescue the 15 people trapped inside. That wouldn't have been such a big deal except that every one of these people were extremely picky about how they should be taken out of the cave. I guess I could have taken them out individually but I wanted to get them all out in as few trips as possible. So, here's how I did it:

Note: All directions are positioned using the screen map so Left would equal West on the map.

- First go through the tunnel and into the second large chamber. Here, rescue the person sitting on the cave floor.
- Next go straight north through an intersection into a small area. Rescue the woman in blue who's resting here.
- Now go left from the intersection where you found the woman. Follow the tunnel to another intersection. Here go left around the corner and you should find a person hiding.
- Go back into the intersection and head back to the previous intersection. Go into the acove to the East and rescue the person standing here.
- Now start heading back to the entrance of the cave. In the last curving corridor before the cave entrance there should be a corridor branching off to the right. Here you should rescue the person running around in circles.
- Now go back into that main corridor and follow it north back into the second large cavern. Here you should rescue the man in white pants.
- Next go north to the intersection and take the corridor left. When you reach a second intersection you should follow it North to its end. Rescue the two people near the treasure chest.
- Now go all the way North to the Northernmost chamber and rescue the two kids hiding at the top.
- Lastly go back to the first four-way intersection and go East into a smaller cave. Here you should rescue a person and two children near the treasure chest. Take this crew to the entrance of the cave.

You'll receive a few items as rewards from the people you rescued. Among them are the Energy Cores that power up the teleport pads and the Besaid Key (if you didn't already have it). After you've received all the rewards head outside the cave and talk to the man in green and khaki just to the right of the entrance. He should give you the 7th enery core. Now go back into the cave.

- Use the teleport pad in the first chamber to go to the last chamber. Then push the right directional button to teleport into that chamber. The person here must be taken out individually so kindly escort him out of the cave. He rewards you with the 8th Energy Core.
- Go back into the last chamber and use the directional pad to go left. Escort this last tourist out of the cave and you'll get the last Energy Core. With this you can enter the final chamber to the North with the teleport pad.

Now that everyone was out of the cave it was time for the Gullwings to figure out why the fiends were pouring out of the chamber of the fayth. When we got to the chamber of the fayth we had no choice but to take down Yojimbo.

Yojimbo
HP: 22000MP: 9999
EXP: 2000AP: 15
GIL: 1500Pilfer GIL: 2000
STEAL: Power WristDROP: Recovery Bracer

Yojimbo uses Poison based attacks so you'll want to protect against Poison. He also likes to drain your MP so you shouldn't be relying on MP based attacks. Some attacker options include the Dark Knight, Gunner, and Warrior dresspheres. For healer you should depend on the Alchemist dressphere. You'll want to have your attackers take down Yojimbo's HP as quickly as possible. Yojimbo has a devastating attack called Zanmato. This attack will reduce your characters to 1 HP and 1 MP each. Be sure not to command your Alchemist to heal until AFTER the attack has hit you. If Yojimbo does manage to KO one of your characters use a Phoenix Down or Mega-Phoenix as necessary. It's also a good idea to have a Haste Bangle on your Alchemist (or some other way of keeping her Hasted).
